Dr. Michelle Malott received her Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences (Biochemistry) from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Windsor, located in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Prior to coming to Indiana University East in 2016, Dr. Malott was the Dean of the College of Science, Health, and the Environment, and a professor of biosciences at Minnesota State University Moorhead, where she worked for 16 years. Her appointments before that included Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology at University of Central Arkansas, and she was also a postdoctoral research fellow in the Cancer Research Division at Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis.
In her role as Executive Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, Dr. Malott serves as the chief academic and student affairs officer.
